WAS THE 90s REALLY THE BEST DECADE FOR FASHION ?

"The 90s was the best decade for fashion.” We’ve all heard it. We’ve all said it. But was it really? Or is that just nostalgia speaking?

The truth is fashion always feels best in retrospect. Skinny jeans once ruled the 2010s, now they feel outdated.

Oversized fits were laughed at just a few years ago and even labelled: 'Homeless people clothing", yet today they’re the new normal. Baggy, slim, cropped or flared. Each era carrying its moment of ridicule before circling back as “timeless".

So maybe the 90s weren’t the best. Maybe they just remind us of a time when those choices were alive, controversial, and unapologetic.

And in 30 years? People will probably look back at the 2020s and call it the golden era of fashion.

Because style isn’t about the past but it’s about what you dare to wear now.
